All states will require any felonies to be fully disclosed during the contractor license application process. Each state or jurisdiction will require different documents to provide explanations for these felonies. This may include showing an official criminal history record from the state/jurisdiction in which the conviction occurred, a national background check, certified copies of the final order, decree, or case decision, and a letter of explanation from the applicant. The state/jurisdiction will either request other documentation or make a decision based on the information provided if they will approve an application. Contractor Training Center can assist applicants in processing and gathering the correct documents the state or jurisdiction will request to properly submit the application with our Application Processing Services.
