How to Prepare for the National Standard Roofing Contractor (ICC F14) Exam

The National Standard Roofing Contractor (ICC F14) Exam is a test of your knowledge of new roofing construction and re-roofing of commercial and multi-family units, covering such topics as:

It is a three-hour, open book exam consisting of 60 questions. 

To pass the exam, you score 70% or higher. Effective preparation involves a thorough review of the study materials provided and relevant national building codes and standards. How to Get Your National Standard Roofing Contractor (ICC F14) Certification

To schedule your ICC National Standard Roofing Contractor (ICC F14) Exam, you'll need to:

  • Register with ICC by visiting my.iccsafe.org/register 
  • Submit your application and the $115.00 registration fee. 
  • Register with Pearson Vue and schedule your exam
  • Pass the three-hour, open-book test consisting of 60 questions. A 70% score is required to pass.
