Independent Contractor’s Licenses

Firstly, you must prove that you independently own a business.

Obtain a Montana Tax Identification Number with the Montana Department of Revenue. 

Fill out an independent contractor exemption certificate. You can choose to purchase a self-elected worker's compensation insurance plan, too.

Which Exam Should You Take?
