The International Code Council (ICC) offers several construction contractor certifications, including:

National Standard General Building Contractor A 

Certifies competency to construct, remodel, or repair any structure or addition, and demonstrates a strong understanding of building codes and construction practices.

National Standard Building Contractor B  

Indicates competency to construct, remodel, or repair commercial buildings and multi-dwelling residential buildings typically not exceeding three stories.

National Standard Residential Building Contractor C  

Confirms an individual's competence to construct, remodel, or repair residential buildings, typically limited to one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses. 

National Standard Roofing Contractor/Subcontractor  

Certifies that an individual is competent in roofing, re-roofing, roof insulation, and roof drainage and demonstrates a professional's understanding of relevant codes, safety practices, and the installation of various roofing systems.
