The ICC National Standard certification exams do not issue a license, but rather a certification. This certification is a requirement by many licensing agencies to obtain a license in their city/county.

All ICC contractor exam licensees are still required to meet other state and local licensing regulations in order to obtain a license in any accepting state or municipality.
