We offer everything you need to prepare for the Maryland Home Improvement Salesperson Exam.

To prepare for the Maryland Home Improvement Salesperson Exam, you will need the required reference manual and tabs as well as our exam prep course. We also give the option to purchase a pre-tabbed and highlighted reference manual, saving you valuable hours of highlighting the information within the book yourself.

In Maryland, in order to apply for a salesperson license, the individual must present to the Commission a written notice signed by a licensed contractor and the applicant for the salesperson license confirming an employment or other contractual relationship between the licensed salesperson and the contractor.

An individual salesperson may not represent more than two licensed contractors at a time and may only represent one licensed contractor when negotiating a home improvement contract with the same homeowner.

The Maryland Home Improvement Commission licenses and regulates home improvement contractors and salespersons.

You must register for the exam with the form listed in the PSI information bulletin in order to sit for the exam. The exam fee due to PSI is $63.

The license fee for an MHIC salesperson is $100. The application fee to MHIC for a Salesperson license is an additional $20.
