We offer everything you need to prepare for the Mississippi Building Construction Exam.

To prepare for the exam, you will need books and tabs as well as our exam prep course. We also give the option to purchase pre-tabbed and highlighted books, saving you valuable hours of highlighting the information within the books yourself.

Mississippi Building Construction Contractors may perform construction on any commercial, residential or industrial stucture.

Note: MS applicants taking the Building Construction exam have a choice of trade exams. They can elect to take either the NASCLA Accredited Examination for Commercial General Building Contractors which is accepted by multiple state agencies or the MSBOC Building Construction state-specific exam. There are differences in these exams. You can see more about both exams in the PSI Candidate Information Bulletin here.

What you'll need to prepare for the exam

Exam Prep Course

Our Mississippi Building Construction Prep course is available in three options: live in-person, live-streamed via webinar, and online pre-recorded. Live courses are a one-day intensive prep course, held every 1st, 3rd, and 5th (if applicable) Wednesday of each month from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm ET. Our classroom is located in Richmond, Virginia, or you can join us anywhere via live interactive webinar.

Steps to obtaining your license

All Mississippi contractor applicants are still required to meet other state licensing regulations in order to obtain a license in Mississippi.

These requirements include taking the State Business Law Exam and submitting a State Board Contractor License Application. We offer exam prep services for the Mississippi Law and Business Exam, as well as License Application Fulfillment Services.
