Contractor License Options

Which North Carolina Electrical Contractor’s License is right for you?

NASCLA Accredited License The NASCLA Accredited exam is recognized for electrical contracting in multiple states, including North Carolina. The NASCLA Examination Program helps you avoid taking multiple state exams if you wish to get licensed in multiple jurisdictions. In addition, once you take an NASCLA Exam, you can apply to other accepting states for the corresponding license without taking their state licensing exam.

Limited License allows you to work on electrical contracting projects valued at not more than $60,000, and on which the equipment or installation in the contract is rated at not more than 600 volts.

Intermediate License allows you to work on electrical projects valued at not more than $150,000. 

Unlimited License allows you to work on any electrical contracting project regardless of value.
