The right resources and exam prep services

We offer everything you need to prepare for the Virginia Class A and B Contractors Business Law exam.

To prepare for the exam, you will need books and tabs as well as our exam prep course. We also give the option to purchase pre-tabbed and highlighted books, saving you valuable hours of highlighting the information within the books yourself.

The Class A/B Exam is a 2- or 3-part exam that covers the business and law portion of the testing requirements for Virginia Class B and Class A Contractor Applicants.

You can view the Candidate Information Bulletin for the exam here.

Passing the three 'Virginia,' 'General,' and 'Advanced' sections of the exam is required of all Class A applicants. For Class B applicants, the 'Virginia' and 'General' portions are required, and the 'Advanced' section is optional. This exam is to be taken by the designated employee or member of responsible management of the entity applying for licensure. There is an additional 8-hour Pre-License requirement for all new Virginia Contractors: Classes A, B, and C. The same person who takes the Pre-License course must be the same person who takes the Class A/B license exam.
