NASCLA Accredited License The NASCLA Accredited exam is recognized for general contracting in multiple states, including North Carolina. The NASCLA Examination Program helps you avoid taking multiple state exams if you wish to get licensed in multiple jurisdictions. In addition, once you take an NASCLA Exam, you can apply to other accepting states for the corresponding license without taking their state licensing exam.

Building Contractor This classification covers all commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential building construction and demolition activity. It also covers work done under the various specialty classifications concrete construction, insulation, interior construction, marine construction, masonry, roofing, metal erection, swimming pools, asbestos), and wind turbine.

Residential Contractor This classification covers all construction and demolition activity pertaining to residential units; all ancillary site work and improvements; and the work done as part of such residential units under the specialty classifications of insulation, interior construction, masonry construction, roofing, swimming pools, and asbestos
