You will need to take the Business Law Exam (Using the Arkansas Business Law Manual (5th or 6th Edition) at Prometric. Home Improvement Contractors are not required to take the Business Law exam. Residential and Commercial contractors (Excluding those with NASCLA certification) are required to take the Business Law Exam.
This prep course is available in three options: Pre-Recorded, Live In-Class, and Live Webinar.
The online pre-recorded content is also included with the purchase of any live course to serve as a follow-up study material. Pre-Recorded content includes highlighting instructions and practice exam questions for each book.
Pre-Recorded classes are available to you immediately upon purchase and can be completed at your own time and pace.
Live Classes are a one-day intensive prep course, held on every Tuesday at 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm EST

This is a Prometric Administered Exam. You will need to contact Prometric to set up your exam time and date. You can download the Candidate Information Bulletin Here.
There are 50 questions on the exam; you need to correctly answer 70% or 35 questions to pass the exam. You will have two hours to complete them. The Contractor Business and Law examination is designed to ensure that contractors have a basic understanding of business and financial management, as well as familiarity with Arkansas State and federal laws governing contractors.
The exam tests a candidate’s knowledge of payroll taxes, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment Compensation, Lien Laws, and other laws or subjects that will affect their daily operation as a contractor.
This is an online prerecorded class. We go over all of the material in the Arkansas NASCLA manual and give you access to our practice test. Our Success rate is 95% with first-time test takers after taking this class.
This is an in-person or live webinar class. It will take about 2 1/2 hours total and we start at 8:30 AM ET. You can come to our classroom in Richmond or join us on your Computer. We will cover all the material to pass and understand where to find the material in the books which are allowed into the class. We will cover the USBC manual and other materials that are pertinent to the class. Our Success rate is 95% with this class.
